I write with my pen and pencil
To express my words out loud
To write the picture of my thoughts
And give the silence of my paper sound
The sentences echo off the walls
And lay on the ceiling top
Once they are free from my head
They never seem to stop
They color my cloths
Friends, family, and home
They never leave me
So I am never alone
I pick up the utensil
To let them make their mark
To give my small fragment of light
To a world of wordless dark
