Dear Matt, MAG
Far away.
I wonder if you are different.
Maybe you bleached
your black wavy hair
bright blond
like the dried ends of corn husks.
Maybe you lied,
to your new friends
about a nickname
and how they call you "Buzz"
or "Scout"
or "Jazz"
just to be different
I know
you and I
had a rough time of it here
because we
were so different
from the rest.
Maybe you just want
to drop
all you left behind
into a black hole
where the nothingness
of space
will swallow it whole
But I'm behind you too, now.
Give me, a Buzz
Scout me out.
keep in touch,
and all that,
Jazz.
