Observations Of The Beach MAG
How I love the way wet sand clings to my toes, ankles, and
knees,
The warmth of the sun on my back, and the way terry cloth
feels against my face.
The crisp scent of a new book tingles my nose,
As I flip through the pages, eager for the story to unfold
before my eyes.
I willingly become the main character and quickly slip
within the pages,
As seagulls soar above my head and kites play hide and seek
with the clouds.
I love the tempting aromas that waft before my nose,
And the way the powdered sugar from a piece of fried dough
lingers on my lips long after I've eaten it.
One lick and the memory of the sweet flavor comes rushing
back.
Nothing gives me more of a rush than dancing to old time
rock 'n' roll -
Until my stomach hurts and I have to gasp for breath.
But most of all, I love to lean back and become mesmerized
by the vivid colors of a sunset,
As I melt away with the salty waves -
On the beach ...
