Inside Out Cookies
Dear Prescille and Katherine,
You are both my sisters,
though neither is my blood
you’re from another mister
and from another mom
but not from another heart
I feel that in my soul
every time you smile
and embrace me to console
I couldn’t have asked for better
it could’ve been much worse
we might have never sung to ‘love bug’
or ‘let it rock’, that’s for sure
but somewhere we found common ground
the grassy one to be precise
the first time I made a goal in soccer
your cheers and hi fives did more than suffice
you brought me to a happy place
very early in the year
I felt like I had homies
that I could surely count on to be near
the both of you as different
and the same in so many ways
captured my heart and captured my gratitude
and love and a sisters place
so both of you, I thank with sincerest thoughts,
the oreo’s never ripped apart,
that we live long in eachothers’ hearts,
even beyond graduation when we physically part.
I love you! Thanks for being awesome,
You’re dearest sister,
Ari
