Serenity
Summer days, they drift away
When nothing more is left to say
I find I pine and struggle much
Will nothing ever be okay?
Autumn winds creep past my shoulder
As the earth grows ever colder
Whispering in their haunting cry
I fade away with dying leaves
Leave me in my solace
While the world crashes down around me
I will stay eternally in the peaceful quite
Of an autumn day that yields to spring
That blossoms in slumber deep
No more shall I ever sing.
