San Jose MAG
Every
single time
I look to the outside
and think how properly
arranged the cars are and
how the cat might get hit if he
chases one more squirrel across
and how I love the color of elephants
and how the house across the street would
look better in white than blue and how
my skin has too many freckles on it
and why the woman on her porch
won't go inside and why the tall
tree isn't moving even though
the wind is blowing so very
hard and if my mom will
come home on time
I cannot help but
wonder when
the bell is
going to
ring
