Lost and Found
i found a poem the
other day -
lilting and rhythmic, swaying
in the air as the words plunge
from my lips
bouncing off the delicate inner
bones of my ear
echoing against prior syllables
i found a poem the
other day -
sweet and juicy, saturating
my skin as i bite into
every line
dribbling down my chin
and filling me
i found a poem the
other day -
crystalline and transparent, revealing
my thoughts and desires for truth
and meaning
latent emotion spilling from
a quiescent mind
i found a poem the
other day -
one that did not lie to me
with pretty words and shallow meanings
under the guise of wisdom
