That one Flower
Barrennesss is the trap,
broken only by the color of a single flower.
the brown and white and grey,
only intensified by the suns weak rays,
but the one flower that braves the cold,
it saves the scarecrow
trees,
and the frozen ground.
from the grey sky and open emptiness.
it's deadly,
ugly,
but that one flower
that one flower
makes it beautiful,
it provides a shread of hope,
a remembrance of color,
a slice of light,
that brightens the dark,
lightens the day,
and saves the world.
