we're off
he leans in, i
lose my breath
he brushes my cheek
with his hand
blood pumps to my cheeks
i lean my head on his
chest, and he steals my heart
i replace it with his
the moon crwons us with cryptic
wonder, setting us ablaze
with life
his smile brings my soul to the
surface and he whisks it
away, hiding it from the harmful
world around us
he saved me
he protects me
the forest takes us away to
be its new life,
the clearing dissapearing
