The Beauty of Monotony
There’s beauty in the monotony of life.
Every morning breath, wake up, and coffee.
When you go through everyday barely feeling alive,
That’s when you find peace that’s just so lofty.
When you spend every day in the same exact way,
When you do the same, eat the same, look the same,
When you life goes from clear black and white to a subtle gray,
You stop caring about the people around, the fame, and the shame.
It’s just you with yourself,
Which might seem so empty.
But you just opened a new shelf
For true happiness that’s so plenty.
Monotony is a beautiful thing,
Although people might call it “boring”.
They just don’t know what it can really bring
Things that are so fulfilling and warming.
