What's Useless to Me
"carve out these eyes,
i can't deal with the images of the world.
(maybe i can hide from the pain seeking me).
Gently slice off my tongue
my words don't matter
and i don't wish to speak to anyone.
(hush)
steal my hands
i can't afford to feel your touch
and even though i try to reach out,
i fail to grasp a caring heart.
snatch my ears.
hearing my self weep only kills me more
(same with the sorrowful symphony).
let me hand you this heart.
it doesn't function anymore.
it won't even accept love.
don't worry, it only takes up space
no use.
take my bones
that are left over,
before they decay
and leave them in a pile on the floor
and just
walk
away."
