Little girl
a little girl looks up to her mom
a little girl finds her mom beautiful
a little girl confides in her mom
a little finds comfort through her
older and older time passes on
Mom finds her way to get around in this cruel world
little girl now older girl notices
she notices how her mom stays in that bathroom for not one but two hours
she notices the hair clogging the drain the hair that used to be long and beautiful now ugly and damaged
she notices the marks on her arm the arm that used to hold the girl now used to push her away
she notices the baggies sitting in her top drawer the baggies covering the pictures, ruining them, powder covering the floor
she notices and she knows drugs ruined her mom her mom ruined her
Mom and daughter are now known as strangers cause even though they live in the same two-bedroom apartment they don't know anything about each other.
