The time has come to say goodbye
to reminisce on the good days
it's time to look him straight in the eye
and look beyond the fog of white haze
They'll be gone from my life
and I'll never again see
he who carried me through strife
and taught me to be me
I'll try to stay strong
though it's going to be hard
this all feels so wrong
like a sharp glass shard
But life goes on and someday I'll see
once more the man who taught me to be me
