Run MAG

By Anonymous

I don’t care that it’s cold out,
I need to run.
This life needs to be left in my dust.
My adrenaline starts as I begin to go faster.
My house is just a dot behind me.
No one knows I am crying.
It is camouflaged as sweat.
I have to keep going, until my soul is exhausted.
Running - the only time my chains are off.
Running - the only time you aren’t in my head.
Running - the only time I can truly be me.
All I’ve got is the cold breath in front of me and my sneakers on the pavement.
No one else ...
I am at peace.
