One night
the sky seemed to twinkle its pretty eyes at
me and say “I love thee”
it might have been a flicker
or just a sign from God
but it sent a chill right through me
and I whispered
“Then come back to me”
The stars flutter through the sky
Like my beating heart
But no one will love me
They way you did
