The grey of dusk...
The grey of dusk was beginning to show its tentative hue;
The cool air its companion;
I would notice this walking outside
Enveloped in the quiet whisper of promise.
My small footsteps
Delightfully crunching on the “snowpeas” below;
Delicate, dull pearls littering the sidewalk.
Scattering in the breeze, they’d make way for the wind,
But they would let me step on them, fond of me
And my childish ways.
