Nothing but screaming
this house brings.
I’m constantly dreaming
about better times and better things.
Covering my ears never provides relief,
because the walls are thin
and silence is brief.
My room I stay in,
and don’t come out of,
because it helps me cope
with this so called “love”.

I wish I was as tall as Mt. Everest,
I wish I was thin as paper.
I wish I was as fast as a light,
I wish I was as smart as Albert Einstein.
I wish I was sculpted by a god,
I wish I was painted by da Vinci.
I wish I was as bright as the sun,
I wish I was as beautiful as the moon.
I wish I was as cool as water,
I wish I glowed like fire.
I wish I met these standards,
I wish I was good enough.
Most of all,
I wish societies standards didn’t exist.
 
 
"Be Free" 
You once were my light,
but now you’ve died out.
I can’t help but think,
what could have turned about.
 
I think about the times well spent,
as tears roll down my face.
I wish you were her to pick me up,
here to pick me up out of this dark place.
 
The love that you gave,
will always be with me.
I hope to see you soon,
but for right now I must let you be free.
