scar
I never knew what happened
When I fell,
It was fast and quick
And I kept on running,
That summer
I earned a scar
When I ran around the yard
I was unfamiliar with
Without seeing the pipe,
Coming up through the ground.
When I got back up,
I didn’t know
a long red line down was my dress
But as I kept on running
I started to feel dizzy
when I reached my mom
She had no idea what happened
She ran me to the bathroom
She cleaned my leg
I still didn’t know what happened
But I can still see the scar
