Storm
Lightning slices through stagnant air
Women watch from rusted rocking chairs
They tremble with each thunderous roar
The weathers never been so fair
Tears fall and pierce leathery skin
From below and above cleanse without and within
Vibrations escape from rigid lips
As heart-strings are tuned to a violin
And when they're played the rumbling sounds
Elements of welkin pound upon the ground
From the bass backbeat of the firmament
As swelling notes whip all around
No space remains between earth and sky
Time is given to women that won't pass them by
And this consuming, renewing phenomenon
Forever echoes the women’s cry
