Never Again
She fell in love with a boy
Who took her to the lake every night?
They sat and they waited
For the stars to take flight
Now every summer she waits
For the beauty and grace
That she called her teenage love
But life is tough
Never again will this girl find love
She’s bitten with a bug that just ain’t enough
To carry her soul all the way through
Until the end of time
No one understands this girl
Her fight is unlike anyone else
She cries each and every night
To the ones she’s loved and lost
Everyone feels like they got it hard
But this girl here really does
Her heart is held inside
Her tiny little hands
And as she sits on the side of the lake
Her heard held so gently, there comes the rake
Man endeavors oh so much
But the heart can only take a touch
And it’s puffed back an eternity
Where it all started
TO THE END OF A SUMMER LOVE
BEGINNING OF PAIN AND STRIFE
WHEN A GIRL WAS JUST A LITTLE ONE
WHO LOVED LIFE
WHEN ALL OF THE ABOVE
DIDN’T MATTER AT ALL BECAUSE
NOTHING WAS BAD IN HER LIFE
AND SHE DIDN’T CRY EACH NIGHT!
DON’T EVER TELL A GIRL
THAT SHE IS MAKING A BIG DEAL
YOU DON’T’ EVEN KNOWN HER
IT ALL STARTED THE DAY SHE DIED
THE MOTHER OF THE GIRL WE SPY
HER EYES FILLED WITH HORROR AND WONDER
AS SHE WATCH THE MACHINE
BEEP IT’S LAST SONG
AND THE EYES CLOSE, FLUTTERING
TO THE HEAVENS ABOVE
SHE CRIES EVERY NIGHT
FOR THE PAIN SHE FEELS IS LONELYNESS
DON’T YOU CRY FOR HER
SHE’S DONE ENOUGH
