Our Love
As darkness falls,
I hear you call,
And I cry out,
In vain.
For you don’t hear,
Though you’re so near,
As voices shroud,
My own.
You swim away,
And so I stay,
Alone and afraid,
To leave.
For I need your love,
To rise above,
All that I know,
Is wrong.
And so I wait,
And damn the trait,
That brings me such anguish;
Our love.
