I wish it was just a nightmare

When my heart couldn’t  bear some words

Some things that let me down

And made me feel worse

I’d just lie on my bed

& thought it’ll be alright

That the storm was just delusional

And ill survive the night

But in the realms of my mind

Deep did I know

That the deadly vibes weren’t

Supposed to go

It dragged a few  days like

An endless night

Of extreme imbalance and

Emotional height

The morning didn’t seem

As bright as before

My faith in myself

Was fading more

And helpless restless did I feel

To whom could I make an appeal

And even though I knew the truth

I wish it was just a nightmare !
