Blue
Look deeper with in my skin
Deeper than a glance
Maybe you’ll catch the shape
Maybe just by chance
You’ll see all the happiness
All the rainbows and sunshine
All the smiling faces
You’ll think that I am just fine
But look a little deeper
Stare if you have to
That beneath this mask of joy
There is where all the sadness hides
It’s the sadness for the person
That looses their first lobe
For the nerd who gets frustrated
At a bully that likes to shove
I have sadness for an old lady
Whose children do not care
For the town s***
Whose image she can’t repair
Or the stray dog that roams the street
Unable to find a loving home
Or the fat, ugly girl
Who sits all alone
But my greatest sadness is me
My pathetic little mind
I believe the world is dandy
But I’ve soon come to find
That I’m the meanest person alive
Rudest of my kind
All the people that have needed my help
And I’ve just left behind
I’ve never found a guy
That has truly made me proud
When someone’s really hurt
I’ll never make a sound
My blueness is deep
So try to look and see
Because maybe if you can
You can stop and help me
