Just to Let You Know
You call me fake
And for a minute I hate
everything you are
But
Your icy stares,
Your souless glares
Do not get you far
in the destruction of me
I am brick
I am stone
Inpenitrable against you
You are glass
You are tissue
Torn and see-through
I am what you'll never be
A heart and soul
that's happy and free
anger and rage
Do not control me
I am who I choose to be
I smile and laugh
Because that's in my heart
It is who I am
Not who I think
everyone wants to see
You think you know me
You think your wods affect me
You think I am helpless
You think I am nothing,
feel nothing
You think you know everything
there is to me
But you don't
and won't
Because you chose
to look the other way
