Ode to the Angel
How can Thou admire in Thy mind?
Though illusions of grandeur plague Thy kind
That we fell accidentally from the stars on high?
We leapt quite intentionally from the spiteful sky.
Demons tire not of this war for Earth
T’is not light versus dark or Good versus Evil
Thy burning feathers will feed our mirth
God gives commands, Lucifer gives Free Will
We escaped from the Blue to the deep underground
Yet soon we shall rise from the world below
Emerging from the Flames, Heaven bound.
As angels pray, our numbers grow
We shall corrupt Paradise, inducing Eternal Sleep
Noble Seraphim, Foolish Fraternity
Thou makest promises Thou cannot keep
And the consequence is a Dark Eternity.
