An Ode to Books
Looking into the night sky the universe is boundless.
The massive black expanse between stars.
Dark matter bends and reshapes the light
Only then reaching my eyes to be seen.
Looking up into the daylight filled sky the universe is boundless.
The sun it blinds you, the clouds dim its piercing shafts.
On a rainy day it dries you, caring for your welfare.
You spot the sun and praise him, thank god Apollo is in the air.
I sit in a hight, dry and safe in both the dark and the light,
Unable to imagine a path of life to deny me such earthly privilege.
Such a feel of vastness, received only from such earthly smells.
Due to you and your kind we know what is right and what is true.
