Silver Rose
a silver rose
my precious flower
so delicate, so still
so full of power
a silver rose
a beauty so rare,
she came to me broken
in need of repair
at night, she cries out
her petals fall
they make no sound
but I hear her call
she asks for my help
she wants immortality
to capture her beauty
and make it reality
"I can't", I tell her
"it's the law of nature,
you will wilt and die
sooner or later"
oh, my silver rose
please do not weep
all is not lost
in a forceful sleep
I kiss each petal,
each leaf, each thorn
goodbyes are not easy
but you will be reborn
maybe not perfect;
a silver rose,
but your beauty lives on
and forever it grows.
