In a city west of Baghdad,
Where women can't be mad.

They all wear towels on their heads,
Men and Women sleep in different beds.

One night when the skies grew dark,
The U.S. bombs hit their mark.

Terror struck where terror breeds,
Innocent were killed over dirty deeds.

Deadly feuds, they say they halted,
But once again their actions faulted.

Trying to thwart off suicide bombers,
We're ending up with a world of Jeffery Dahmers.

Reporters asking Why, oh Why
Soldiers screaming Die, Die, Die!

Some were left injured, some were left dead,
It's not fun and games, just pain and dread.

Afghanistan, the land where this is taking place,
Is being turned into one big parking space.

Striving for peace, but only fighting more,
Is this the start of a third world war?

As our banner may wave,
They’re always digging one more grave.

To some its more than a game,
Now there’s a soldier with no name.

They may take your children and wife,
But they’ll always have your life.

well, um, this is not bad. Definitely has potential..... Better than that other one thats like #1. :p But I would suggest not naming names, like all the places you named, and saying "U.S bombs." if you elude to the subject in clever ways, its much more poetic. Naming everything right on the dot is a bit amature. It has a much bigger impact when its done in a more poetic way. The concept was good though, and parts were impressive. Keep writing. :)

this is a great poem, definitely an eye opener.

i hope you'll check out my poems, they're not about the war, but your poem has really inspired me :)
