From childhood’s hour I was not seen by others

As others were-- I could not be

As others saw-- I could not see

My passions from childhood’s dreams--

The words that call unrealistic

My drive-- Proving those I am mystic

My heart driving for my passion

All i’d hoped -- I hoped just for my ration

And as a grew out of the stage of adolescence

I started to obtain some essence

From the times of lows to highs

All I wanted to do is die

From the hatred, or the despise

From the tears as my eye cries

In the shining hope of the blazing sun

As my day came almost to done

From the silence that the knife took

The blood of my arms, I look

When the rest of the world kept going on

My life finally came to a dawn

This poem is a parody of Edgar Allen Poe's "Alone". I wrote this as an assignment for my creative writing class and expresses my feelings in a more dramatic way. Hope you enjoy.
