The World In A Fight

The day I realized it
My life changed
Looking at the newspaper
I was ashamed
I read on
More on this fight
Then it hit me
Something wasn’t right
I keep reading
About the terrible war
I did this so I could understand
Why I wanted more
I read a little longer
Of men dying
And their families
Who were crying
I wanted to scream
“Why do we do this?
If every shot we take
Is a miss?”
