Seashell
The waves crashing at my feet
The sunset up above
This is the place I meet
The true meaning of love
Never have I seen blue so
Or heard loud silence too
As I feel the great, warm glow
I know I will be knew
As my time is nearing close
I look upon the sand
I see a seashell and suppose
I’ll put it in my hand
As I study this new treasure
I think about its life
As a home to many pleasures
And also many a strife
Oh what a story it could preach
Of friends and foes again
And of its life here on the beach
With its host crustacean
After long it has to go
For it grew and became old
It soon needs to part
From the home it used to hold
And as it leaves, the shell grows light
And washes on the shore
For me to find and feel delight
And keep it evermore.

I love the beach so I thought I would write a poem about it.
