Writing did this to me
In my opinion, writing does not gain enough appreciation as an art form. If it was up to me, works by Shakespeare, Dickens, James, Poe, and the like would adorn the walls of museums. Creative writing has opened up my eyes to a new world, and almost becomes a way of living. It becomes an influence, influencing the way ordinary objects, people, and encounters are percieved. I look at something and cannot help but think how I could make a story out of it. But I think of the way I looked at the world before I discovered my talent for writing; bland, boring, and so... concrete. Now, without hesitating, I say that I would never go back.
