Remember to Forget

If you’re like me, you are, or have been depressed. When I say depressed, I mean you sometimes ask yourself “Who am I? Where am I going? Whats the point of this life anyways?” You cannot appreciate depression until you have felt it, until you have cried for yourself, at times not even sure for what reason. If you are like me, no reassurance of how special or lucky you are can put an end to any of that pain. The answer, is inside you.
Okay so now you're saying, "wow she's cheezy, thats only the most cliche line I've ever heard. " Be that as it may, I know from experience, that just because something is cliche, does not mean its not true. Hear me out on this, I got through my times of pain. I know how you can do the same.
So if you're like me you are scared and unsure of yourself. Of things you've done, of how you feel, of how you will feel. Where am I going? Where am I now? Sometimes, I don't know where I belong, who I belong with, who to trust, or who not to. Pause for a moment. Who are you anyways? You are a man, or you are a woman. You have legs, you have arms, you can walk, run, even fly with help. Best of all, you have a mind. With this, you do not need legs, or arms, or even anything at all. Your mind opens you to anywhere you wish to go.
Okay now you're either saying "Hey, she might have a point here!" or "Okay shes insane.." or even "Get a life, who do you think is going to believe this crap?" I respect your feelings on this information, do with it as you will. But my choice, was to listen to my own words, for they may have even saved me.
Let me ask you another question: Who do you want to be? Sure there are limits, those that take you out of fantasy and back into reality, and those that take you out of capability and into pools of your own doubt.
There will always be those people who put you down, who try and stop you from being who you are, and reaching for what you desire for your future and you present. Guess what? WHO ARE THEY ANYWAYS? Why do they matter? Sure they're the most popular kids in school and you are supposed to bow down to every word they say. How about, you don't. How about you accept who you are, and make something of it. Don't around feeling sorry for yourself anymore, because that way, they win. Overcome the pain with the power of your mind, of desire to have success. Go wherever you want.
Okay so maybe now you are thinking, "well maybe I don't know where I want to go, and thinking about that only makes me more depressed. Thanks."
Oh come on...How about smack yourself in the face and say FINE! Maybe you don't know where you are going or where you want to go, but I can tell you right now, everyone knows, deep deep down, what they want. Probably happiness, or to fall in love, or to go down in history, or to save lives. You may pick and choose from the above ideas or make some of your own.
Life is meant to be lived, my friends. Just go along for the fun of it. Don't wait until the ride is nearly over, to jump on. The train is leaving, never to return, your future awaits you, don't let it pass you by. The road will be rocky, your dinner will be hard to keep down at times, but its all part of the experience, all part of what makes you the person you are, the person you should represent and be proud to represent.

Always remember to forget the stress of your life, you will get through it. Stay pure, stay true to yourself, keep the karma good, making the only possible results good as well. Smile for me, for yourself. Stand up for what you believe in, your life awaits. Remember to forget the bad times, look towards the good, look to learn and look to grow. Remember to forget where you have been, look to the skies, appreciate all you have, your gifts, your mind, and leave all of your pain and sorrow behind you.
Remember to forget.

Last year I recovered from a depression, and I wish I had this article to read. I was drawn in from the first moment by the oxymoron title and interesting hook.

Great job!
