Do school uniforms really make a difference?

Have you ever been in a situation where you can't find any clothes? As a kid you could put on clothes not caring but have you ever thought of wearing uniforms to school. But even though I can't find clothes does not mean I would want to wear school uniforms around school all day. I used to think to myself how wearing a school uniform would be terrible. School uniforms make me think sometimes. Do school uniforms make school a more effective place? This topic has many explanations.  Yes, they do make school more effective, no they don't make school more effective, And my opinion on school uniforms. First is yes it is effective. For me personally, I don't think school uniforms are necessary but some think they are. Some people will have really strong opinions on school uniforms and some don't. I'll explain why I think school uniforms are useless my reasons are in the last paragraph.

According to great schools article back in June 2018. Some people say that school uniforms make students feel less worried about what other people think about what they are wearing. That is just one of the things that they say another person said it helps a student focus better on school work then what to wear every day. Another reason is that it helps the kids not get bullied by what they are wearing.

The second point is no school uniforms don't make a difference in education. I strongly agree that it doesn't help. I think that students should be able to wear stuff of their own and be stylish and not think about what other people think about their clothes. and I also think that many people should not be worried about what other people think about what they are wearing.  Some people who agreed with no said it makes students feel uncomfortable and sometimes itchy. Because of the size of their uniform. A parent reads that school uniforms are bad for your hygiene because of wearing it every day. The parent also says it would be terrible for a kid to sit by another kid whos uniform smells bad from not washing it for a week. According to an article in september 2017 from the website the New Yorker they say many people complain about school uniforms. The last reasons states having a school uniform cost the school more money for each kid to have a uniform. A lot of people say that it is a waste of money to purchase uniforms which the students might not even be comfortable in.

My opinion is that school uniforms should not be a thing in schools. My reasons include that they can be uncomfortable. I think sitting in school uniforms would be very uncomfortable depending on what material they are made out of. If it was a skirt I would be very uncomfortable sitting hours in a skirt. My second reason is that school uniforms are too spendy. The average cost for a school uniform is $249 which is pretty expensive in my taste for learning purposes. It also is spendy because you don't know how your kid would like it. And I think $249 is a little much for one school uniform.

My last reason school uniforms should not be a thing is because they are unnecessary and a waste of money spent on uniforms. According to Kappa Online it says more schools are using school uniforms. They are can also be a distraction to students fo for thinking the whole time in class why does the school make us wear these uniforms. And it would be hard to find sizes of uniforms for each student. And it would also be hard to convince all the parents to get school uniforms because like I said some parents don't want school uniforms. So I went over talking about yes it makes schools more effective, No it doesn't make school more effective, and my personal opinions on why school uniforms should not be a thing.

So, in conclusion, I don't think that they are effective but many other people have different opinions on this certain topic and some will say yes and some will say no. But I think that anyone should wear what they want or desire. They shouldn't be criticized for what they are wearing or what they aren't wearing. And each person can have their own sense of style. So using a school uniform might make them lose their style. But as said school uniforms could make a difference in kids learning.
