I strongly agree with Rafael W. in his article "His Name Is Alex" because we as Americans usually judge other people who are not from the U.S, who have different cultures and beliefs. This article helped me analyze how ungrateful we are in many occasions. What is "trash" to us, can be "treasure" for others. In this story, the boy Alex is humble and has other worries like what he's going to eat later on in the day or if he will be able to shower. They appreciate every bit they get unlike us. Reading this article helped me evaluate of all the things I have rejected or not appreciated in life. People from other countries should not be seen different than us because they value their cultures and morals. Thank you Rafael for making it easier for me to analyze myself on everything I have in my daily life that others may not have.
