Do politicial candidates have to be good debaters?
Yes, presidential candidates need to be good debaters. Number one, they need to convince the people to vote for them, or whoever the candidates think the people need to vote for. If the candidate is not a good debater, he or she cannot persuade the audience to believe that his or her plan actually works. Another good reason is that sometimes, another candidate might say the flaws of the candidate’s plan, and so the candidate needs good reasons to back up his plan. If he or she does not know how to come up with good reasons, then they are not good debaters and therefore cannot be a good presidential candidate.
Overall, if someone is a good debater, I will suggest them to be a presidential candidate, because that is probably the best job for a good debater.
