To Dylan.

Summer camp 2015
I watched as my team played the game I love, Basketball. We were the pink team of course, such a dreadful color, and since it
was Star Wars themed we were the Farting Wookies. Now we were down by 2 and we were going to 5 points, that's just how
summer camp games were. Anyways, I was sitting alone on a little over hang of dirt watching my team from the other side of
fence. I loved to hide and not be noticed. The woods I was in just made me feel like nothing could hurt me. It was always so
quiet on that little dirt spot I spent so much of my summer camp at. Emi, Ab, Kat,  my sister Layla, Gab, Churity, and
Linda were all out doing other things. They weren't really into sports, me on the other hand I LOVE sports. Basketball in particular.
It kind of let's me get my mind off of things and forget about all the things I have to do.  So yes while I was watching the game
that was all I was thinking about. I silently yelled at my team mates at the things they did wrong and  how I could do so much
gooder than them (Yes I just said gooder). That's when I heard someone walking. I looked over my left shoulder to see a boy I
noticed came to my youth group. He was walking over to me when the most embarrassing thing happened. As I looked back to
the basketball game some how he had fall on the ground and a branch had cut his leg. As I looked back over at him he stated
that he simply was going to stay there. I kind of laughed at that as I turned back to the basketball game.
The boy eventually stands up and comes to stand by my side. I stood so I wouldn't be rude and I continued to watch
the basketball game in my sweat pants and big sweatshirt. Not really the cutest thing to meet a boy in but I didn't care.
We stood there watching the game and I told him all I knew about basketball. He listened and I talked on and on. That's
when our youth pastor got hurt. I was so worried for my youth pastor. We watched as he was carried off the court and onto a
few chairs as he put ice on his knee. The game continued. I watched the rest of the game in silence as he stated that he
simply played football for the high school. A thing in which I knew little about.
A few minutes later his friends came to get him for paintball and I didn't talk to him for the rest of the day. I did see him
during chapel though and I kept looking at him without meaning too.
The next day I found him on the large hill on the camp that looked  over the lake in which the other kids where swimming in.
We had just gotten done with one of our team games and we had won for like the first time.
I sat on the grass and watched the kids swim. Emi and I had ditched Ab and Kat at the cabin because they were being butt
heads and didn't want to come outside.
We started a conversation with the boy and we talked for a while. Then all of the sudden I felt the earth shake a little. It started
slow at first then the earth started to shake even more. We were having an Earth quake. It was just a small one but it shook like
crazy. I could feel myself sliding down the hill slowly. When it was over about 15 seconds later I looked around and everyone
had the face of shock and amazement. We continued to talk for a little while longer then we heard the lunch bell. We spit up
and I went with my friends while he went with his. I still didn't even know his name.

The last day of camp all of us "Northpolians" were sitting on a tree when a kid from another town came to sit with us we had
a fun little "war" on whose tree it was. Of course with our numbers and no one to back him up we won. I had finally learned what
the boy's name was. He was from my church and he was friends with Score, Ab's brother. (We had decided during camp that I was
now his other sister since I was Ab's sister. Meaning I finally had an older brother! He doesn't know how much I've wanted an older
brother. He just goes with what we say and barely talks to me but still the fact that I can call him my "brother" is pretty cool) Anyways
as we sat on the tree the boy starts to play a bunch of Disney songs like the Jungle book and Toy Story. My new friend was officially
weird. lol.
When it was time to load up in the van he sat all the way in the back and I was in the front with Ab's and Kat. Emi, Gab, and Linda
sat behind us in the second row with the boys in the third and forth. My youth pastor was on some meds from the hospital he went to
after he got hurt on the basketball court and his dad was driving us home so our pastor could sleep. Really we just messed with him
half of the way to home before he actually had the meds effect. By then some of the kids had switched seats with kids in the other
car and there was a whole third row was open so I decided to have a window seat right in front of the boy and try to get some sleep.
Gab wanted to sit with me so I let her. We talk for a little bit before I try to sleep. That didn't last long. The boy decided he was going
to poke my cheeks and  wake me up with music. He gave me his head phones as we talked and I sang along. During one song though
all of the boys sang. Be a man from Mulan was one that Score could sing really well and so all of the boys joined in and I had the
privilege of singing the part Mulan sings. I totally failed. I laughed with Gab as the boys continued to sing  and we almost got home.
Through the ride the boy had drawn smile faces with his finger on my face and showed me the girl he liked at his school. We had so
much fun that ride and I will never forget it because that's the first time I actual became friends with this boy.
Through out the summer we had gone Kayaking with the youth group and he kept splashing water on me. lol it was so much fun. Then
we also had a scavenger hunt in which we were on the opposite teams for mud wars. It was SO much fun because his team went into the
little beaver dam before my team and when we went in we all got stung and the boy said that it was his fault as a joke and I still blame it
on him. Also during that we had to go down a home made slip-n-slide and I had cut open my scab I had made during summer camp. It was
bleeding every where and my leg wouldn't stop moving because of the loss of blood and so one of the youth pastor helpers came and
put a homemade Band-Aid on it. He was also in the army saving lives and stuff so he knew what he was doing. Everyone asked me if I was
okay and I said that I was fine. Just a little scratch.
A couple weeks later we had a water balloon fight and him and I were having a full on battle it was so much fun. At one point I had to
tackle him because he had our flag and we both went down. His team mate saved our flag and they had won but it was still fun.
All in all we had lost Mud Wars but i had the best time in the world. I would never ever forget the fun we had and how close we got.
The boy was one of my closest friends and we had the best summer ever. To end our summer we had a camp out at one of the lakes
and we played a basketball team with the youth group. When I had the ball he almost knocked me over but I just started laughing and
we continued with the game. I am very competitive when it comes to basketball so when it came down to me missing every shot I made
during that game I got really frustrated. I was supposed to be getting ready for try outs in the winter for the high school. I don't think
I will though. It's just another thing that will get me frustrated. I love basketball, but I have to deal with mom and dad at the moment.
Anyways a couple of us had a rock fight at the play ground on the beach at like 10 o'clock at night. It was awesome. We all got hit with
rocks and the boys kept taking my hat so I had to get it back from them. I literally chased them like 20 miles for my hat. Or something
like that. Our youth Pastor thought it was funny and so he didn't stop them. After that we all sat down until the camp people came and
told us to leave. It was so much fun. We went back to the camp  and we sat around the fire until our youth Pastor told us they were
going to play a game. I was cold so I cuddled up with my blanket and stayed at the fire with a family friend and the boy. We talked about
our family friend going to Iraq and training and stuff. I love telling stories by the fire all surrounded by the dark and only barely being able
to then having that bright light of the fire and 2 people I trust with me. It was so nice. Then it was time to go to bed. Girls where in one
tent while boys where in the other. That's until the tents flooded. My sister and I were the only girls in the girl tent and the boy was the
only boy left in the boy tent in the Moring. It was so cold and there was water that soaked my friends sleeping bags yet I was dry and warm.
When I got dressed I went out and we had some breakfast  of eggs that my were from my chickens and so many other foods. It was SOOO
good. Everyone was up before me and I was the first to fall asleep. I guess I was pretty tired from al of the fun.
After breakfast we decided to have a mini basketball game and so it was 2 on 2. Me being the only girl was pretty sad but fun. The boys
were impressed that I even knew how to play ball. The boy and my friends just sat and watched as we played. So it was time to go and we
all piled into the van.
Everything gets very complicated from here......
summer has just ended and everyone has started school. Many things happen between me and the boy have a stronger connection. My parents
didn't like it so they split us up. I can't say much but, we are happy where we are now.  I love that summer that I had with him and all my
friends. I wish it never ended.
