Tyler Mitchell
Summary:
Tyler Mitchell, a sophomore in high school, and his siblings have lived with their uncle and cousin ever since their parents died. While struggling to get by in that abusive environment, Tyler works to get his sister sent to a better home. At the same time, he must deal with a harsh segregation at school, where others constantly pick fights with him for being a skater. Throughout the book, he strives to break free from the label confining him without changing who he is, and at the same time destroy the animosity between different groups of people at school.
