Author's note:

I started this in middle school, and found it again this year. so i decided to fix and finish it. I wasnt really truly inspired to write it but did it for fun.

“How does it feel…”
“Painful”
“How painful…”
“Unbearably”
“When did it start…”
:”Last week”
“Why does it hurt..”
“Because i'm a f***ing human!”
“Calm down sir..”
“CALM DOWN YOU WANT ME TO F***ING CALM DOWN”
“Sir what are you doing..”
“You know exactly what i'm doing”
“Put that down sir…”
“You're going to die tonight…”
“What”
“Maybe not here…”
“Huh”
“Or maybe not this week but i will kill you.”
“Guards!”
“Yes”
“Take him away”

                                                            …

Life before him Was as close to paradise as we humans can get. But this man was more than a man he was one of my patients. I’m a therapist for mental patients and i am going to release these documents for all to hear. To warn all those here in Maine to watch your back for this madman. For he is on the loose and is ready to kill anyone in his way. These are the tapes.

Tape 1, Part 1  “ Hello, Jonathan, can i call you Jon?... Umm well Jon my name is Daniel and I am your new therapist. You can tell me anything. Tell me a little about you.” He never answered my questions. This is how they all start. Why did I pick this job, frankly not even I know that myself. Jon throughout this just sat there and stared at me. I mean if I was in his position I guess I wouldn't want to speak either. I’ve been in this business for ten years now but never have I ever had a client like this one. His name is Jonathan Schmidt. He was in for going insane we are still trying to figure out why he went insane, but he won’t speak to anyone. They hired me because i’ve had many clients like him.
Tape 1, Part 2  “ Hello Jonathan, it’s me again. Hows your day going? Jon are you going to talk to me? This is the only way we can find out what really happened.” He just glared at me with a death stare. Many Mental people use this to say not right now, or that they hate you. I bet he is using both those feelings in one glare. I kept asking questions. Still no response to them, but the more I asked the further he put his head down. What was he hiding. He needed to tell me. I tried to tell him he could trust me. Even though he really couldn't, the police are going to find out by listening to the tapes. We sat there for a while i waited for a hand motion another glare, but there was nothing so i left until the next day.
Tape 1 Part 3  “ Hello Jon today we have to get down to business and you're going to have to speak up. Now tell me what happened.” He picked his head up and with a stutter said: “ L...l..lies, s...so man..ny l...l...lies.”
“ Jon who lied? What did they lie about?... Jon what did you mean by lies?” Not another word came out of his mouth, but it was progress.
Tape 1 Part 4  “Hello Jon, are you ready to tell me about the lies?” I paused waiting to see if he would respond. He shook his head. “ Jon don't tell me no, i need the answers to help you. You're not in trouble with the police you won't go to jail. Just let me know what happened that day. I know you remember, don't you.” He began to rock back and forth and he whimpered. Tears began to roll down his cheeks. I walked over to him and told him: “ Jon it can get better and i'm sure it will if you just tell me what happened.”
“No, No I..I can't, you don't understand i can't. H...he’ll kill me.”
“Who Jon, who’s going to kill you?”
“No, No, no.”
“Jon…”
“NO!”
Tape 1 Part 5  “ Jon, Lets talk about yesterday. What's the persons name?”
“ Daddy”
“ His name is Daddy? Is he your father? Jon did your father abuse you.”
“ No, no no no no no no no no no no no no”
“ Then who is he?”
“Daddy Daddy Daddy Daddy Daddy”
“ Who is Daddy?”
“Daddy Guzman”
“Daddy Guzman, Okay did he hurt you Jon? Is this the man who made you this way?” He looked at me then looked down almost immediately. Like someone was behind me i looked to see noone.
“I told too much too much too much” He began to do that rocking thing again. He was afraid. Afraid of someone. I also took into consideration that it could have been someone in his head, someone he uses as a code name for his possible other self. I will know soon.
Tape 1 Part 6  “ Jon we did some research and we found many matches to the name ‘Daddy Guzman’ Can you point out which one looks like him.” I pulled out one of a man he had gray hair big square glasses and wrinkles. The next guy was also an older guy he had black hair and a black mustache. The last and final guy i pulled out had Black hair, a grey beard and mustache, and glasses. Jon looked at them laid out on the table not saying a word. he finally took focus on the last guy. i picked it up and showed him.
“Is this him Jon, Is this Daddy Guzman.” He just stared at it. Scared he stared at it. I could guess it was him by the way he looked at me.

I researched this Guzman guy for weeks and what i found was astonishing. He had quite the history of violence. He was known for the robbery in 1986. He was on the run for the next 5 or so years taking the risk of robbing 25 different antique shops. Although antique shops are not too important, it’s the fact of how many he stole from and how much he stole. As i read more and more about him i was more and more afraid for Jon. The poor guy knew this man and this is the man who probably put him in the asylum. I read that he was in jail at this point in time. He was in Maine State Prison. So i had planned a visit with ‘ Daddy Guzman.’
When I got there I saw a big white building. As i walked in a man stopped me and asked if I was Mr. Livingston.
“Yes that would  be me.”
“Okay sir follow me. He is in this room. I will have to stay in there with you just in case.”
“Thats fine.”
“Well here we are.” We walked into a small white room. It had one of those one sided window things so police could see and hear everything. There he was sitting there staring at the wall. i slowly approached him.
“Hello.” I started. His glance turned to me. He said nothing. “Well I’m here because of one of my clients. he mentioned you.” I sat down across from him.
“Jonathan” He whispered.
“yes thats him.”

“Of course it was him. Who else would be such a litte stupid ignorant mother f-”
“Now don't blame tison him e was only do what he was told”
“ really ‘cause if he listened to what he was told too do you wouldn’t be here. So, why are you here exactly.”
I began to fix my tie and sit upright. Then i cleared my throat and began to explain;   “Well, uhh, sir you see.” I paused to take the paperwork out of the brown, 2 year old, leather suitcase i brought. “Well you see Jon is in a mental asylum, and he is worrying everyone. He tells me of you.”
He laughed “He did, did he, well haven’t even seen that fool in about a year.”
“Yes, that's right, and he said that if he told us of you, you were going to kill him…, But i don't know if that's just him or not” I quickly added. He was a very large intimidating man, you know the look of any evil robber from the movies. bald , broad shoulders, deep brown eyes that seemed to look right through me. “I along with mny others are worried for him thinking this. So fr no means of offense, but did you ever threaten him or told him you would you know-”
“Yeah Yeah, i get and, yes maybe i told him that, but honestly, look at me i was on the run, and the last thing i needed was for big mouth to slip the word of where i was. You feel me?” He gave me a surprising look of honesty, now don’t get me wrong it wasn’t innocent. But hat he had said was all true, so i ended the visit and when back to do more research.

Now it’s been two years, Jonathan is out of the asylum, and back to a partially normal life. I still see him now and then for check ups which yes are still recorded...

Tape 54 part 20 “Hello Jon, hows it been the last month?”
“Decent”
“That's good, you find a job you like…”
“Yes… I work as a janitor at South Hadley Middle School”
“Very good, Jon. Sounds like you’ve started a life for yourself.”
“Yes I have”

Tape 57 Part 5 “ Jon you don't look too well you feeling okay?”
“It’s Just.. just a cold…”
“Okay… well if you need anything just ask…”

Tape 58 Part 7 “Jon…”
“Yah?”
“You look really pale, and tired…” He looked up off the floor where his eyes faced. “Oh dear you're eyes are blood shot, have you been sleeping okay?”
“Yah”
“Are you sure?”
“Jonathan You now…”
“YES!!!” He scramed took a deep breathe and corrected himself “I’m sorry just really tired…”

Tape 61 Part 18 “Jon why are you rocking, what's wrong… tell me now”
“He’s coming, Hes coming, Hes comming, Hes comming, Hes cominng Hes Coming HEs coming HES COMING HES COMING HES COMING!” He got progressively louder. Then uddenly bolted out the door. I had no idea what i had just seen. All i knew was we were back where we started. I took a deep breathe and told the asylum owner he was coming back.
When i went to his home, a shady looking apartment building, I stepped up to the buzzer and rung it. I stood there for a minute or so then tried it again, and again. Soon enough i had to barge my way in. I came to his apartment number and knocked on the door. No response i kicked the door down and walked in. I figured it’s only Jon. It was dark except for where the light from the window shown in. It was like a scene from a horror movie. My heart was racing, my hands shaking. I turned to open a door to a bedroom. That's when i saw him. Lying in bed. I sighed relievingly. I walked up to him and touched his shoulder. He slowly turned his head and to my shock it was blood filled. He swiped my arm in and pulled me in and said:
“He’s coming, hes coming hes coming hes coming hes coming hes coming..” This time instead of his volume increasing it dimmed to his death. That’s when a slight creak was heard from behind me and was breathing down my neck...

My heart began to race. The worse possible ideas came to mind hat it was him, Guzman… I slowly turned my head, not my torso. Then, he grabbed my shoulder and spun me. It was a shorter, greying man. The apartment manager. I told him to get a phone and call the police.
The police arrived and asked me about every detail, from his history to when i walked in. They didn’t even take into consideration what kind of state i was in. I could hardly even process it myself, never mind the police.

So indeed i stayed put. Like a dog on a leash i had to do what i was told. Me a grown man. I stayed in my apartment and watched TV all day and read a few book. Let’s just say the first few days were the worst. But now i realize I how good that sounds to be on my couch instead of here in this back allieway dump. For he found me, took me, beat me, but has yet to kill me. I wish i could remember how I got here but i can't.
As i sit here bleeding from my nose and mouth he walks in. Laughs and spits on me. Calls me pathetic, and weak. Most at that point i believed was true. Why me, why me, why the hell did the oh so prayed to God choose for this to happen to me. I was lost, depressed, in pain, searching for a way to escape this. There was no way, at least that's what my mind told me.

“Rise and shine sleeping beauty, it's time to move” it was one of his men. I didn't want to open my eyes, so I didn't. “I said let’s go!” he sid this with much frustration and anger. “NOW!” he screamed as he backhanded the right side of my face. I squinted only a little. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I refused to cooperate. Of course it lead to much worse pain than a little petty slap, but i felt it to be right.
They ended up just lifting me to a vechile that traveled for what seemed to be forever. As I lay there an unshaven man kidnapped for at least a month with endless torture done unto him, the truck came to a harsh halt. The sounds of sirens screaming. I thought finally. Those would be the last words i thought. In this wretched truck with these wretched people, all the pain was gone…….
This would be the end, but it’s not my end. I woke up the sound of my own heart beat, bright lights and to a women. A nurse I thought. No it was Evelyn. I didn’t wake up from my death like a hero in a movie but slowly instead. Stuck, and prenounced dead for three hours. Three hours I don't remember anything, but a light of hope that I will be alright. For now at least.
