Point Guard MAG
He dribbles downthe court,
looks up to see ten seconds on the clock.
He calls"Triangle," and sets up the play,
he whips the ball intothe center,
and practically skips over to the corner,
just outsidethe three point line.
The center passes him the ball,
hefakes,
a defender goes flying.
He sets his feet,
slowly pushesthe ball upward,
and shoots,
time freezes,
he waits,
theball weaves and spins,
the fans standing on tiptoe, eyes wide open, gasp,
and finally the ball slides through the hoop,
nothing butnet.
He has just won the game,
fans cheer, the players go into afrenzy,
but all he thinks about,
is winning the next game,
thenthe championship.
