Ice in My Soul
When I meet people, I notice their eyes first. For him, I notice the color of the iris that might match his shirt. The ice blue sheet that perfectly lines around his pupil. I notice the wrinkles that form when he truly smiles. Two small bag-shaped wrinkles under his eyes catch my attention when he laughs. As I stare, I notice the long eyelashes that bloom like a flower. His eyes exhibit years of respectfulness, humbleness, and kindness to all who encounter him. They say that eyes are the window to the soul. When I stare directly into his eyes, a sense of comfort enlightens my soul.
