What Music Means to Me
Music honestly means the world to me. It lets me express my feelings without having to think about how to express them. Music isn’t just “music”, it is lyrics/voices, beats, instruments, and amazing sounds that mean multiple things to people. It Has helped me through so many parts of my life, and probably so many others too. Music helps people feel. Music is amazing and like i said, means the world to me.
There was a time when it was rough for me. Me and my mom weren’t getting along. So i listened to “Just give me a reason” by Pink. Me and my mother used to listen to it when i was young. So it helped me cope and remember things will always get better because the line “ Just a second we're not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again It's in the stars, it's been written in the scars on our hearts
We're not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again” gave me the strength to think that way.
Music is a “gateway” to feeling. That’s what i believe. I have this friend that only listened to music when other people had it on. He never really listened because he never liked what was on. So i talked to him and asked him what music he liked and he said he didn’t know. I mean i knew him so i tried to look for something he liked, and succeeded. I showed him Never Too Late by Three Days Grace. He fell in love with them and he was way different too. He started smiling more and telling people how he felt. I was so proud of myself for loving music as much as i do and being able to help my friends.
The Songs that i listen too are all different genres. I believe that’s why i am so emotional. Music is a beautiful thing and creates feelings that not even a human could create in another human. I wish i could have the words to explain the way music makes me feel, Because it’s not just sadness or happiness. It’s something that i can only feel while listening or singing to the music. It’s a beautiful thing.
I’ve never really gone into depth about the way music makes me feel because it makes me feel like a nerd because people don’t think of music like i do. It’s something that helps me cope. Music takes away anxiety for me. It helps me let my tears out when i need a good cry. It makes me smile when i need to cheer up. It makes me feel invincible when i need reassurance that i mean something to someone. Music is an unbelievable, amazing thing that i am more than happy that got invented/made/created.
Music makes everything better. No matter whether a sad song or not. People are different. So are songs. That’s why there is more than one. I think music is a coping skill for everyone but not everyone knows that it is. I’ve been in love with music and singing since i was little and believe that every word that comes out of those singers mouths were real and were meant to help people decide things in their life.
I’ve never gone a day without listening to music. It makes my everyday a better day. Music means everything to me.
