Adventure
“Right foot in. Left foot in.”
I place my right foot through the opening of the harness, then my left. I pull the harness over my body and check to make sure everything feels secure. My heart races with excitement.
Today I get to go on an adventure.
As we listen to the staff member explain the equipment, we can’t keep still. My friends and I are anxious to be up in the trees. I watch as the students ahead of us climb through the course. I see the happiness, as well as the nerves, rushing across their faces as they approach another challenge.
The staff member let’s us go and we’re free.
