Amanda moved her hand closer to the end of the couch. Her eyes watered while she tried to ignore all the foolish actions her husband was doing. Her legs shaking while trying to stand up. Her husband on the other side of the living room, drunk, holding a bottle of wine, screaming at her.

Amanda: Jacob, I cannot handle this anymore. It happens way too often.
Jacob: AMANDA, SHUT UP!
Amanda: This is what I’m talking about. I dont understand why you love doing this to me. Screaming at me constantly, and when you’re drunk it does not make it any better..and..lets not mention...
Jacob: (Jacob interrupts Amanda) Listen to me..
Amanda: NO, JUST LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE! I DON’T WANT TO LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE.
Jacob: But why, I’m enjoying myself (drops bottle of wine and it shatters)
Amanda: OH MY GOD. (gets up and sprints to get a broom)
Jacob: Amanda calm down, its okay, its just a little amount of glass on the floor. You’ll clean it up later... (gets up and runs after Amanda, trying to throw her on the cracked glass)
Amanda: YOU ARE HONESTLY CRAZY, LET GO OF ME!
Jacob: Amanda I love you! (drops her on the floor and goes to get another bottle)
Amanda: (quickly gets up so she doesn’t get hurt from the glass) YOU SAY YOU LOVE ME AND YOU JUST DROPPED ME ON BROKEN GLASS...ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
Jacob: Listen to me, I’m ready to live my life with you, and if you’re gonna ask me if i’m drunk, the answer is...is...no. (Opens another bottle and drinks half of it at once)
Amanda: Jacob, we have three kids together and a fourth one coming it’s way, and you’re telling me now that you’re ready?
Jacob:You just don’t understand...I’ve been having a hard time…
Amanda: A hard time with what? Doing absolutely nothing and drinking all day and all night? You know what, I’m worse than you, I let myself struggle and put up with this for the past seven years already.
Jacob: You really never give me credit for what I did. I’m very supportive and I eat the food you make (starts to laugh)
Amanda:You know Jacob, you really are not helping the situation right now. You’re making it worse and worse. This isnt a joke, it’s your life, and my life.

(She gets up and walks out of the room, grabbing her car keys)
