The Tragedy
It was a cloudy and rainy day in April 2012. I had been hanging out with my step-father and 2 brothers that weekend. We had been watching the original Transformers animated movie when my mother had called from the North Carolina (American Airlines) airport in order to tell us she was on her way back to our house. My father told me to order some chinese food at about 7:00 P.M. Me being the lazy person I am, told my older brother to go get it. Suddenly at the exact moment my brother was about to leave my mom comes through the door breathing hard after climbing up 5 long flights of steps. She says “follow me into the living room, i have important news about Addie”. Me and my brother asked “what”? My mother said “Addie is dead, she died because she had many strokes during a nap. we had the option to keep her on life support, but if we would have she wouldn’t ever have been the same again”. Me and my brother bot say “wow” because we never thought something like that could never happen to a person like her. My brother and I start to cry, and our mother and father start to try to comfort us. In about 2 weeks our grandfather comes by and escorts us to the funeral where great words were spoken about our wonderful grandmother. After the memorial service me and my brothers went out to talk about how we felt about her death. This is absolutely my saddest moment in my life.
