(SS) “Versace Versace Medusa had on me like i’m illuminate”. Those lyrics of the great musical artist, Drake, was blaring through the speakers of my silver 2003 Volvo station Wagon. As our heads bobbled to the bass of the song, and the summer breeze travels through  the windows of my car. I was living the perfect teenage summer life. Being a incoming junior meant most of the students can drive there own car that summer. Having your own car is a big part of your life.  You must have love and pride for your first car. The love and pride for my Volvo is like none other.

(SS) It all started when my father completed his term serving for the military overseas in Iraq. It is always exciting when getting a new car for anyone and I was dying to see what kind of vehicle he was going to come home with. One afternoon I got a phone call from him saying that he got a car and he was pulling in the drive way. I sprinted to the garage with the  biggest smile on my face that was wiped off from what I saw. I saw the Volvo station wagon sitting there I didn't know what to say. I was actually embarrassed the thing was sitting in our garage. It was in the garage sitting there and it was not gonna go anywhere else.

The car slowly started to grow on me. it was a smooth driving, it had a exceptional gas milage and it was in good condition. The sound system was great which meant a lot for me because I like to jam while driving. I realized that I have not seen another car even remotely close to this till this day. I thought that was pretty cool to say that I was the only person to have a Volvo station wagon. Too top it all off i purchased big fuzzy dice to hang up in the mirror that classify’s my car in the division of swag.

Although, I have experienced many frustrating situations with it. For example when i was driving on the highway on 23 the car stated vibrating, the shaking was through out the steering wheel and the gas pedal. My buddy, Bryce noticed the same thing. (SPsn) Bryce is about 5 foot 10 lean guy and has a huge smile. He knows everything about anything that involves vehicles. sooner than later the car was Violently bouncing on the free way. We Diagnosed the problem and my tire popped. (SPlce) There we were on the side of the freeway as cars were zooming past us starring at Bryce and I changing the tire. Other problems I had were the trunk was always jammed, the air conditioner is always on for some reason, and my brakes put me in near death situations because they never seem to be able to stop the car.

Despite all of the negatives of the Volvo. I have been through a lot with it. It has been there to calm me down when i just need to cruise to come to my senses. It has been there to get me to places I need to go. It has been there to impress all of the ladies that see me in it. I know its not a Mustang, or a Porsche, But it is a part of me and my life. Therefor, I wright this letter to you, The company of  Volvo who has changed my life forever. I now have the love and pride for my first car because of you.
