High School is always a new beginning. It’s where you find out who you are and who you want to be. Most teens think that they will have that same circle of friends and stick by their sides on the first day or when you get to pick partners in class. That was the idea I had for my high school years.

When I started high school in ninth grade I was in that same group of friends from elementary school. I mean sure we had a couple of little fights but nothing our friendshicouldn't’t handle. When I had classes with them they were always the first partners I chose and we sat together at lunch and hung out while waiting for our parents to pick us up. Everything seemed as it should have been high school was great. Nothing really changed until my eleventh grade summer. I had got a new circle of friends and everything changed. I was not myself at all and when I went back to school in august people noticed. Then things really started getting out of hand. Never have I had problems making friends or having people talk about me. As soon as I ditched being the summer person people didn’t like me. They started going around telling my personal business to everyone like I was some soap opera to make fun of. It was people I had known since the second grade. It felt like everything was a lie, the people you thought would be there forever suddenly turned their back on me. It made everything tough for me for a while I felt very alone. Then I did what I had to do I brushed it off my shoulder and learned that I needed new people. So I concentrated on my school work and just began to make new friends. Now everything is better I am fine without those girls and obviously they didn’t need me.

High school is a scary new place and you think you will always have the same people to help you push through. That is not always the case but you just have to learn. Everyone is changing and figuring out who they are and want to be as an adult. High school makes you grow up but it’s not all bad.
