My Awakening
I have recently been informed that my life could end very abruptly; Something from my past has been brought up and is going to be used against me in the court of law. If all goes as planned for the state, I will have a label on me that makes me look like a freak. I will have a label on me that will make my life a living hell. I will have a label that will prevent me from being happy.
After I received this information, I felt my body fall into a deep relaxation. I felt my body fall into a relaxation unlike anything I've ever felt. The rules that were recently incurred, from the state, seemed to make sense. I knew I had to tell the truth, no matter what happened. I knew that things were going to be different from now on.
Not even a day later, I felt my entire being re-think itself. It told me that I could be happy, no matter what, as long as kept those I cared about close to my heart, and I kept that which I loved doing close; in my reach.
I have been living my life as I would if no one were watching. I haven't been worrying about every little detail. I have been learning to trust people.
My awakening isn't as significant as many others, but to me, it's one of the most important things I've ever been through. I can honestly say that I know what it's like to change. I can honestly say that I know what it's like to be one person one second, and then someone completely different the next. I can honestly say that I know what it's like to grow up.
