Different
Difference…. There are many ways to make a difference.
Big
Small

But I like to believe my difference is more than that
More than a sneeze
A quick sensation
Just made too slowly fade…
For my difference
Was
Different
I
Made people
See
When most people ignore
I treasure
There is this girl
Her name left unknown
She's different
And if I've learned anything it's that
People
Dont
Like
Different
Every day she would be left back into the cafeteria.
Her stuff splattered over the floor.
And the noise in the room would fade
Till everyone was gone…
Except
Me
And
Her
I grab her items and help her out
While I do this is think
Why do we fear difference
Picking up trash
Giving out food
All good differences
As we walk to her class I contemplate
What is the world today
Without difference
Destroyed destneys
Dreams buried down below fighting to get out
So I started
Anytime
Anything fell
Anything hurt
I tried
To make things
At Least
A little
Bit
Better
And already that's what keeps half the world waking up
For change
And difference
Isn't something to fear
But something to embrace

This is my submission to the how do you make a difference essay contest. Its about a girl with disabilities at my school and why difference isn't so bad.
