once when I was younger

Once when I was younger (six maybe, I think before kindergarten) I stuck a pipe cleaner (a little fuzzy twist of wire generally used in crafts but originally designed to clean tobacco pipes) into an electrical socket. I was largely unharmed (at the time it was maybe the most pain I had ever experienced but I don't have a scar so it can’t have been that bad objectively) but the pipe cleaner was scorched black. We kept it for a while as a cautionary reminder but we’ve moved several times since then so presumably it was discarded at some point.
